Welcome to the Strathroy United Church Website and thank you for taking the time to explore it. Our hope is that when visiting the site, you will get a sense of the inclusiveness, warmth and welcoming that is offered to everyone through the various aspects of our ministry.
Thanks to a dedicated Web Designer and Webmaster, we are very excited about the many new and wonderful changes. I invite you to take the time to explore the information provided and watch for more exciting changes in the near future.
We are a congregation who continues to grow in our awareness of what it means to be a part of the Body of Christ and who continues to look for ways of reaching out to our community and to God’s world. You will notice as you browse our site that we offer a place to meet for a variety of community groups as well as being involved in offering significant outreach to our community. If you are looking for a volunteer opportunity, we have lots of those for you also.
Please accept our warm invitation to join us for inspirational worship services with a blend of traditional and contemporary music. Our Folk Group provides the music leadership approximately four times a year. Their next service is on December 6th. We are also blessed to have three wonderfully talented choirs including the Cherub, Junior and Senior choirs, all of whom would welcome you to join them if that is one of your passions. Please watch our monthly calendars for information on our services.
“The One Room Sunday School” is a new, exciting and vibrant Sunday School experience for a broad range of ages that help children discover the wonders of the Bible.
Thank you again for exploring our church family and please be assured whether you are looking for a new beginning on your faith journey, for answers or a place to call home, I can promise you that Strathroy United Church is a place where you will be welcomed and feel blessed. If you have any questions about us, please do not hesitate to call me.
Until we meet,
Rev. Steve Atkinson
