S. U. C. Friendship Club

We are a group of singles and couples that meet for fun and fellowship. Each month a committee of approximately 4 members prepare devotions, a program and lunch. We enjoy speakers, musical entertainment, a games  night, travelogues, dinners, barbeques, excursions, etc. Our main fund raiser is serving a delicious roast beef dinner in October as well as making and selling meat pies. The proceeds from these two projects provide several thousands of dollars to support the general fund of Strathroy United.

The Boys of our Men’s Club are now on summer vacation, doing their thing; playing golf, cutting grass, yard work, going to Garage Sales etc.

At our April meeting, the fellows decided to revise our meetings starting on Saturday, September 18th 2010.
The new format will be as follows:
1)We will now meet at 9:00 a.m. and have coffee and muffins/donuts/cookies etc. supplied by the club.
2)We will all pay our regular breakfast fee with donations going to different church funds.
3)Members and Guest speakers will be asked to partake in discussions on topics which will be introduced.

Are we Democratic or not!
I’ll be sending the fellows home between 10:30 and 11:00 a.m.

Will you non-attenders now join us? I hope so!

See you in September, Mel Hougen, President
