Prayer List. You can add names to the Prayers of the People during Sunday worship by adding a name to the prayer list book at the back usher table. Please include a first name only, and Brad will read the list of names for prayer during the worship service.

Hospital Visits. Please help Brad to know when you or your loved one is in hospital by calling the office at 519.245.0276
Pastoral Emergencies. Brad can be reached outside of office hours at 519.330.0074 for crisis care (deaths, hospitalizations). Please contact the church office for administrative matters.
Home Visits. Brad hopes to visit every household in the congregation. To schedule a visit, sign up for one of the times available on the easel at the back of the sanctuary or call Patti in the office at 519.245.0276
Prayer Group. Prayer request cards are available at the back of the sanctuary and may be put into the Prayer Box. All requests are kept confidential and included in daily prayer.
Christmas Decorating. Decorating the Church for Christmas will take place on Wednesday, November 27 at 10:00am. Any and all help would be great. Please contact Tina Zimmermann (519.245.0304) for more info.
Friendship Club. Mark your calendars now!  It is nearly time for the annual Christmas potluck lunch, hosted by the Friendship Club.  It will be on Wednesday, December 4 at 12:00pm in the Golden Jubilee Room.  Everyone is welcome and no membership is required.  Please bring an item for the WRRC such as toiletries, gifts for mothers and/or children, or non- perishable food items. If you have any questions, please contact Art & Janet Clark at 519.245.8870.

Community Life Team Meeting. The Community Life Team will be meeting today at 11:30 AM.
Christmas Knitting Tree. Attention all knitters! Would you like to knit something to be donated to the Women’s Rural Resource Centre? If so, please speak with Barb MacKinnon (519.245.1370).  All yarn for this project will be donated by Barb.
Compassionate Funds Needed. Winter is here and with it comes increased need for the less fortunate in our community. We are asking the congregation for assistance in replenishing our Compassionate Fund so that we can purchase additional grocery cards.  Thank you in advance for your generosity and support!

Children’s Worship. Our children’s worship program needs volunteers to lead and assist Sunday activities. Training is available. To learn more, please contact Johanna Richards (519.245.3469) or Brad Morrison.
Confirmation 2019-2020. Brad is organizing the confirmation program for the coming year. If you are grade 8 or older and interested in being confirmed (and learning what confirmation means), please contact Brad.
Kids Club. The next Kids Club will be December 15 at 1:00pm. This group is open to any child in JK up to Grade 5. There is no cost, but registration is required.  Please contact Kaeleigh Berdan (kaeleighb13@hotmail.com) to register.
The next Youth Night is scheduled for Friday, November 29 at 7:00pm. Come out for games, snacks, friends, community, and a great time! Open to youth in grades 6 to 12. Please contact Kaeleigh Berdan (kaeleighb13@hotmail.com) to register.

Fill a Bag. Advent is almost here!  Our project is “Fill a Bag” and we have plenty of labeled bags are available.  Please choose one or several bags, fill it, and return it to the church no later than Sunday, December 15. The items collected will be divided between the Salvation Army and WRRC.  If you would prefer to make a monetary donation, cheques can be made out to either organization.  Thank you in advance from the Community Life Team.
Fall Bake Sale. A huge thank you goes out to everyone who supported our very successful Bake Sale – those who baked the goodies and those who sold or bought them. Carrot puddings ($4.50) and 5” frozen fruit pies ($4.00 – apple, cherry, raisin) are still available for purchase. Antler River Watershed Regional Council. The ARWRC website is now live and available at www.arwrcucc.ca.  Members are encouraged to visit the website and subscribe to the regional council newsletter.

YFC NERF Night. The next NERF Night for youth in grades 6 to 8 will be hosted Monday, November 25 at 6:30pm at Strathroy United Church. For more information, please email Dave Berdan at david.b@yfcstrathroy.com
Truth and Reconciliation Speakers’ Series. The goal of this series is to ally with local Indigenous neighbours and communities by taking steps towards strengthening relationships, deepening understanding and prompting action towards reconciliation and resolution. The guest speaker, Verena Tan, will be presenting on Thursday, November 28 at 7:00pm at the Central Library (251 Dundas St, London).  This series is free with no registration required.  There is two hour free validated parking in Citi Plaza during library hours.
Surviving the Holidays. Dr. Rodger & Linda McCready will be hosting their “Surviving the Holidays” seminar on Thursday, November 28 at 2:00pm at Denning’s Strathroy (32 Metcalfe St W, Strathroy). For more information call 519.878.6285 or email Strathroy.GriefShare@gmail.com
Tales of Our Town Book Launch. On Thursday, November 28 at 7:00pm join the Strathroy & District Historical Society at the Strathroy Library (34 Frank St, Strathroy) as they launch their latest publication “Tales of Our Town: More Strathroy and Area Stories”. Everyone is welcome!
Victorian Christmas. On Sunday, December 7 from 10:00am to 4:00pm, take a step back in time and stroll the downtown streets of Strathroy as the merchants bring a Victorian Christmas experience alive. Features old fashion crafts and demonstrations on sidewalks, wandering musicians and carolers, horse and carriage rides, and a Santa hut!
