                               OUTDOOR COMMUNION

                               SUNDAY, AUGUST 2nd

Dear friends,

Our outdoor worship services continue at Strathroy United Church. This Sunday we celebrate holy communion. Bring your own bread and juice (similar to communion on Zoom) this Sunday morning. All are welcome.

Throughout July we’ve experimented with outdoor worship, and the response has been positive. Pre-service screening is quick and simple (see our Facebook page for instructions), and the lawn is marked for 2 metre physical distancing. Remember our safety measures: bring your own lawn chair, water, and mask (for coming and going). The Maria St. washrooms are available if needed (disinfected for your safety).

Join us for the music. Andy provides an organ prelude and postlude from the sanctuary pipe organ. Andy leads the hymns with guitar on the lawn, Andy and I sing, and the congregation hums along (a safety measure).

If you’re unable to join us on the lawn, I encourage you to watch live on Facebook. As the community reopens slowly, let’s make Strathroy United Church part of that reopening.

Yours faithfully,
Rev. Dr. Brad Morrison
